- Reposted by Dr Chris NooneOur colleagues Al Jazeera reporters Anas al-Sharif & Mohammed Qraiqeh, & cameramen Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal & Moamen Aliwa have been killed in a strike on a tent for journalists near Al Shifa hospital. They worked relentlessly through bombing & hunger to document this war. Please remember them

Not just with bombs, but with bureaucracy… The world did not merely fail Gaza. It abandoned her. And in doing so, it exposed itself.” This is extermination as the world watches.

- Reposted by Dr Chris NooneI cannot emphasize this enough. Reach out to Your SF TD's, MLA's, councillors. They don't know about the NGS. They aren't clued in on the Cass report. The gender conference is early July. I've spoken to several and seen good results. Don't complain about the result after the fact.

- Reposted by Dr Chris NooneTen years ago nobody in their right mind gave a single crap where trans people went to the toilet and the only reason anyone does now is because they were radicalised by Facebook and a handful of insane newspaper columnists and that’s just embarrassing all round
- There's still time to register for ISCHP 2025! Even if you can't make it to Galway, we promise an engaging online experience that will connect you with those at the conference venue and those attending online around the world. See more here: universityofgalwaypsychology.clr.events/page/2253-un...
- This will be a fascinating conference and an important chance for learning about research and action to tackle health injustices from all over the world. It will be of interest to anyone who is passionate about the intersection of social justice and health and is open to all, not just psychologists.

- Reposted by Dr Chris NooneBiological sex is not a static reality. Scholars have spent decades pointing out how assuming a sex binary is not only wrong but also unethical as it erases the lives of those who are embodied differently. Courts should not give effect to “common sense” when such sense is unethical and unscientific.

- Terrible journalism here. No effort to question the false claims of the NGS consultant or to seek other views. They didn't even ask him what risks he talking about. So all this turns out to be is an irresponsible contribution to the moral panic about trans health. 12ft.io/proxy?q=http...
- The NGS will not stop in making it more and more difficult for trans people to access healthcare. Baseless claim after baseless claim on lack of evidence. That's what happens when you dismiss all the evidence you don't like! www.irishtimes.com/health/2025/...

- Sinn Féin is postponing its conference on trans rights until 2026, after meeting with LGBT+ groups last week to try to rebuild trust. I met with my local SF TD and my impression is that this isn't as divisive an issue as the leadership seems to think. They got it wrong on migration, and now this.
- Trans rights is something Sinn Féin can absolutely hammer this government on but again they decide to effectively support them. Pathetic.
