As someone who wants to pursue character design, I like taking requests from friends to make designs—its good practice—but when it comes down to whether or not the character is “attractive” or not makes me upset.

I believe characters should be likable through action and personality, not solely off looks. I wanna make characters that are weird and unique: characters that have their own charm through the wackiness of them
OFC NO HATE TO OOMFS WHO ASK ME TO MAKE CHARAVTERS FOR THEM its just I want to also experiment with new hairstyles, shapes, faces, the whole shebang
TLDR: don't be afraid to make your characters “unattractive”, be weird, be wacky with them. All that matters is that you love them :)
