- game is 2D but has 3D colliders. rather than write full 3D colliders, i only need extruded 2D colliders so i just combine a 2D overlap with a z-projection overlap.

- every once in awhile i toss a dog treat to the crows because one day ima bout to accidentally step out in front of a vehicle or something and a crow will caw and i’ll turn to look and not get hit and we’ll nod knowingly to each other and move on, all debts paid
- my fonts are racking up a pretty impressive portfolio of games at this point. i wish i could capitalize on them a bit more but im outta ideas

- hmm the shadows are actually helpful gameplay-wise as well, as they help identify where the back-edge of the base of platforms are. like, i don't plan on making the player play behind obscuring terrain very often but there will be the occasional moment

- greybox tileset for da game. using the tricks i talked about before with the slight color differences to help distinguish Z-levels. i think this is good but i need to figure out a way to actually build the maps with the height levels in a way that doesn't suck...
