- I'm trying to give the new Wuthering Heights film the benefit of the doubt when it comes to costume design. Because I do think strict devotion to historical accuracy can crush artistic freedom. It can prevent a director from fully embracing their vision!
- And I thought the costumes for Frankenstein looked bad until I saw them within the context of the film. Within the film they become incredible, and from what I've seen it has the best costume design of last year.
- HOWEVER. I see a dress with a hoop skirt as an undergarment and I see the hoops through it???? I immediately distrust you. There are supposed to be enough petticoats to make the hoops invisible. If it's a purposeful decision then exaggerate it. Otherwise it looks like shit.

- And they both get really turned on (Benn did not expect a reaction) and can’t make eye contact for days.
