- If I disappear for a while around March 5, know that I’m just building with the beavers. Can’t wait for the full release!
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayOkay, you guys wanted some fun tea on Richard Dawkins? Here you go: one reason he may have gotten super duper angry about me talking about misogyny in atheism skepchick.org/2026/02/epst...
- Reposted by Celeste Ramsay@wyden.senate.gov's record of warning that there is deep and constitutionally-serious dirt being done by the intelligence agencies in secret is unblemished. The vaguer he is, the filthier the dirt is. This is the vaguest I've ever seen him
- Wait, is that Marie Gluesenkamp Perez on a CHUNK bike at Renn Fayre? Ugh, it is.
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayThis is something really special, from one of my favorite science communicators, but also one of my favorite cultural commentators. Do yourself a favor and set aside some time to watch it. Your dishwasher will thank you.

- Reposted by Celeste RamsayFor those just realizing how right I was about creeps like Lawrence Krauss & Richard Dawkins, you should know that I’m also right about good guys like Robin.
- I will probably get told off for sharing this - but it does give some perspective on why I was under so much pressure to leave Monkey Cage - I accept my career is dead so…. skepchick.org/2026/01/the-...
- Reposted by Celeste Ramsay1. The new batch of Epstein documents helps illuminate one contemporary controversy: What is Bari Weiss up to at CBS? I think the answer is she is trying to rehabilate the Epstein network as a bulwark of reactionary centrism. Let me explain.

- Reposted by Celeste RamsayJeffrey Epstein, Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and Marc Andreessen share an enduring fascination with eugenics, race science, and transhumanism and there is an entire generation of public intellectuals who benefited and continue to benefit from their patronage. Pinker, Huberman, Attia, Weinstein, etc.
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayJeffrey Epstein sent a link to the white nationalist podcast The Right Stuff, whose core hosts played an active role in the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally. He did so in February 2016. Before TRS made national news, really. Genuinely bizarre.
- Really some amazing stuff from the Cider Riot trial. It honestly feels pretty good to see these clowns get aired out. Now I know why Abe was randomly back in town when we ran into him on Monday. Here's a link to @alissaazar.bsky.social thread on mastodon. kolektiva.social/@alissaazar/...
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayA Multnomah County jury has awarded more than $760,000 to our client Cider Riot owner Abram Goldman-Armstrong after finding defendants associated with the far-right group Patriot Prayer liable for a violent 2019 attack. Even though the justice system moves slowly, we will always stay the course.
- Congratulations to Abe and Juan! A long time coming and well deserved. It’s somewhat ironic considering one of the goons just got arrested for shooting two cops.
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayUp the punx, we won! $760,007 in total. Press release later. We drink cider now.

- So the guy who allegedly shot two Portland Police officers last week of course turns out to be one of the right-wing street thugs who organized several attacks on my friend's cidery. Actually ran into Abe last night, he's making cider in Norway now and doing well. (note Andy Ngo in the photo)

- Tip from old Portland about that green gas - leaf blowers. I don’t think snow blowers are agile enough.
- First visit from my neighbor's lawn service after the gas-powered leaf blower ban went into effect and they appear to have invested in a nice little mulching mower and were done in about 1/10th of the time. So yay! It worked, I'm less cranky on a Tuesday morning.

- They just want to be podcasters. No actual work, just bullshitting on camera to a bunch of bored, dumb sycophants. (BTW, Prem has confirmed this is not satire. He's not normally one to do that, but it would have been a banger of a shitpost.)
- Anyone I know in the market to run a nice neighborhood dispensary in inner SE PDX? My local shop is calling it quits at the end of the month and still hoping for a buyer.
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayA few months ago, ICE hired me I didn't sign and submit any paperwork. I almost certainly failed the drug test. I'm real outspoken about my opposition to the Trump administration, and I am extremely googlable And yet, there it was, in plain English. "Welcome to ICE!" My latest for Slate
- From another foreign service kid, @vanhollen.senate.gov well articulates here how growing up with the constant reminders of both soft and hard US power overseas can and should inform policymaking.
- I watched one figure skating video the other day and now my YouTube feed is 50% couture fashion junk.
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayYeah, I mean ICE detained “Marilyn” from Northern Exposure in November. She gave them her tribal ID, they said it looked fake. She tried to call the enrollment office for them, they tried to take her phone. They don’t want to know. They just want to terrorize. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

- Most nights out in this town are fine, but boy howdy when it’s new years and folks actually dress up and get spiffy, the nauseating and asthma inducing fragrances are a serious health hazard.
- The frontman for this rockabilly band looks a little like Charlie Kirk and the upright bass player looks a little like Matt Taibbi and I realize my brain is thoroughly poisoned.
- Reposted by Celeste RamsayMy best photographs of 2025, a short thread. A tobacco hornworm on one of its favorite foods, a garden tomato plant (Texas, May 2025). This one makes the cut because it is more aesthetically pleasing than I was aiming for, somehow.
- Top 10 first watches of 2025. (I don't get to theaters at all and mostly use the library streaming services) Once Upon a Time in Anatolia was such a delightful surprise. A bunch of newer speculative fiction that lived up to the hype, and solid auteur character studies.
