I choose to honor the Indigenous people of this land tomorrow (and every day). I'm sure most of you won't even interact with this post, but I am nauseated that people glorify Columbus. I have tremendous respect for those upon whose ancestral land we live.
Oct 12, 2025 23:50Same! Why are we glorifying someone who opened the door to two continents' mass genocide and the incalculable loss of whole cultures? I hope to honor those who live and have lived on this land I'm standing on long before me, in this case, the Nisenan of Northern California.
