- Great, now AI can overthink. Now it can take that job away from me, too 🥲

- I think this is one of the biggest signs of approaching late stage social media. Once games are added, the teams are so desperate to keep people on it that they'll literally do anything.
- what you want is an MCP. oh wait have you tried installing a skill? no you don't have an agents,md file. actually what you want is a plugin. have you tried agent orchestration? you have gotta try hooks.
- *FOMO intensifies*
- What if this wave of AI tools enables us to regain control over our data and replicate the majority of SaaS services we pay for today. We've already solved the distribution problem and the open source community has the ability democratize the tech stack. That would be one hell of a power shift.
- This is one of the biggest reasons I'm betting on ATProto for social media. Own your data and display it however you want. If Bluesky starts making bad decisions, I can go create my own app and keep my entire post history and social graph. There's no reason to use late stage social media anymore.

- I did the layout and initial design myself but had Opus redo it, and it chose the colors and typography. Still have a few minor tweaks to make but I like how it came out!
- Some preview images for anyone interested in how this #atproto app is coming along 👀
- Is the subscription era ending? When AI makes building cheaper than buying, why pay monthly forever when you could build once and own it? I really wonder how software monetization is going to change with more advanced AI that can build faster and cheaper than ever before.

View full threadAnd on top of that, if I were trying to collaborate with a team of other people the inconsistencies involved in AI would make that quite difficult. I don't think it really matters how much better AI gets, until we build a better collaborative system for it there's some stuff it just can't do.
- Yeah I could see that. I seriously doubted I could hand whole complex tasks to AI until recently 😅 but it has gotten like... Way better way faster than I thought.
