- Reposted by JWAn essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.
- Reposted by JWEveryone should read this incredible first-person piece by Jason Collins (as told to @ramonaespn.bsky.social), on his battle with brain cancer. So much admiration for this man.
- Reposted by JWI can’t believe how much of the Trump era is about solving problems that *don’t* exist while making all the problems that *do* exist, worse. There is no one who thinks the biggest problem with air travel right now is not having an area to do pull-ups.

- Reposted by JWI'd just like to point out how weird it is that places with hundreds or even thousands of reporters — the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, AP, etc. — are all getting pummeled on every major story by the dozen computerboys at Wired. To fumble the bag this consistently is, at some point, cowardice and a choice.
- Reposted by JWWatch the slow motion: it appears to me that the officers discuss the photographer and reporter before the one on the end fires on them (it looks to me like he's aiming at the camera, not the reporter, but you decide)
- Reposted by JWThe Trump administration has effectively ended white-collar crime enforcement. All this week, we're going to look at what ripoffs, deceptions, and cons will rise as a result to part the public from their money. This intro sets the stage: it's the Golden Age of Scams. prospect.org/power/2025-0...
