ALIGN NY
Organizing labor and community for a just and sustainable New York.
- ICE OUT OF EVERYWHERE! We're rallying today in solidarity with Minneapolis to call for the end of ICE's terror in our communities. 📅 TODAY, Friday 1/30 ⏰ 4PM 📍 Foley Square, NYC
- ✊ICE OUT FOR GOOD! We marched with thousands of New Yorkers in solidarity with Minneapolis where workers and businesses participated in the first general strike in nearly 80 years. The people are showing up, growing coalitions, and building solidarity to protect our communities.
- Reposted by ALIGN NYNo worker deserves to be fired for speaking up. Not Starbucks baristas organizing for a fair contract, immigrant workers fighting wage theft, Amazon warehouse workers demanding safety, or federal workers protecting our civil rights. Stand with the #FairHousingThree: jwj.org/fh3
- NEW: In our letter to @nycspeakeradams.bsky.social, we're calling on the City Council to hold a hearing and vote on @tiffanycaban.bsky.social's Delivery Protection Act. This bill has 39 co-sponsors and will deliver safety for workers and every New Yorker. We must pass Int. 1396 this session.
- We're thrilled to have our very own @mooreprogress.bsky.social on Mayor-elect @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social's Worker Justice transition committee!
- No Tech for ICE! No Tech for Genocide! On Cyber Monday, we joined Amazon workers and community members for a rally and picket at the Amazon offices in Manhattan to condemn their role in directly aiding mass deportation and the genocide in Gaza.
- For Amazon workers, the holiday shopping season means forced overtime, relentless demand, and injuries to meet speed quotas in unsafe workplaces. We must keep standing with Amazon workers to tip the scales in the fight for safe work and fair wages.
- We're calling on elected officials to stand with Amazon Workers. @governor.ny.gov must deliver a strong implementation of the Warehouse Worker Injury Reduction Act. @nycspeakeradams.bsky.social must call a hearing for the Delivery Protection Act.
- Trump's anti-worker agenda includes failing to provide a functional NLRB and dismantling unions. Executive Director Theodore Moore is on @nynowpbs.bsky.social to talk about new state labor laws that will ensure protections for New York's workers. Full story: pbs.org/video/new-la...
