I try not to be mean to DnD fans, because I genuinely believe a riding tide lifts all boats here, but the replies arguing that dogshit rules that every table rebuilds from scratch are good actually because *checks notes* DnD has been consitently dogshit since it's inception are making it real hard.
the greatest boon of the slow death of WOTC/hasbro from their complete mishandling of d&d 5.5e is that MAYBE one day we will be free from the notion that house rules are a good thing.
