Bering Sea sea ice extent is well below normal, mostly due to very little ice near the Russian coast. Ice is expanding westward from the Alaska coast. For December 27, ice extent in the Bering Sea is the 7th lowest in the past 48 years in NSIDC data. #akwx #Arctic #SeaIce
