- Not sure we need word ‘may’- the rate of diagnostic increase is biologically implausible and speaks to diagnostic practice- probably previously under disgnosed now considerably over diagnosed

- It is slightly disappointing the tendancy in psychanalysis to a ‘creationist’ approach with all ideas starting with Freud but the basic principles of object relations theory has so much to offer to all medicsl encounter not just FND

- neurologyopen.bmj.com/content/7/1/... Very pleased to see this diagnostic aid for Functional cognitive disorders out. It needs further testing but i m feeling optimistic given the cumulative wisdom of the clinicians who kindly provided input into the development
- Interesting conceptually but i wonder if in cases of functional tremor if the tremor is in fact the core treatment target- it s often absent with distraction anyway

- ‘Strong reasonable doubt’ over Lucy Letby insulin convictions, experts say. Can’t help feeling it is unwise for potential expert witnesses to be doing media briefings in this way. These are arguments to be aired in court
