- Reposted by Andreas KrennmairI literally heard a very famous silicon valley guy list housing among the things that AI will make cheap and I was like "Wow. You literally have no idea how anything works, huh."
- Reposted by Andreas KrennmairI know this is the wrong crowd for this but, I have an important test that I apply to new technologies that people think are going to fix everything. I ask "how does this help with the housing crisis?" Invariably (so far) it does not.

- Reposted by Andreas KrennmairThe Beervana Blog is about to turn 20. The thing about retrospectives is you never remember anything. So, wise hive mind, what are the watershed changes/developments in beer over the last two decades?

Learn how German Chicagoans brought European food riot traditions to the US, and how a few minutes of brawling shaped decades of Chicago beer & politics. www.newberry.org/calendar/bee...
- I see #aurora #polarlights pictures from Germany in my feed, of course on the day we travelled to Northern Ireland. We still have some polar lights on the North Coast, but only a bit shimmering through clouds, which makes them look even more spacey...
- On the one hand. Georg Schneider & Sohn seems like a responsible company that keeps up tradition, on the other hand, it's still a loss in brewery jobs in the region.

- I just had a slightly stressful moment. A gasket on a fermenter started leaking, so I had to transfer 20 litres of fermenting beer into a new fermenter. Everything is fine now, but the 10+ year old fermenter (really just a big plastic bucket with a lid and a tap) is getting chucked. #homebrewing

- I found this hilarious picture of the old interior of Schneider Weißbierbrauerei, presumably from before the rebuild 1901-1903. There's so much going on!
