- Just one guy's inconsequential opinion, but one of the most effective collective actions I think we could take would be a Cesar Chavez-style boycott of Amazon.

We may appear more aloof or be more impatient, may self-isolate, have more typos, may freeze or overwork to numb the pain, or find fear, memory, or hope in unexpected moments.

- Reposted by Andrew (Andy) DykstraThis is so true, and it highlights how annoying it is that outlets like the New York Times and The Atlantic obsessively fixate on the Ivies. Most U.S. students attend public universities, and those institutions change lives at a scale the Ivies can’t touch.
- Really important to stress that the Crown Jewels of the US higher education system were never the Ivies or elite SLACs (other countries have equivalents of these) but the well-funded, large, cheap, and excellently staffed public state university systems bringing high quality education to the masses.
- Reposted by Andrew (Andy) DykstraCan confirm. I am okay and more motivated than ever to speak up. Nothing scares this administration more. Their power lies in our silence.
- NIH program officer @jenna-m-norton.bsky.social has been placed on admin leave, sources say. Norton has been outspoken about the Trump administration's dismantling of science, and she signed the Bethesda Declaration. Bhattacharya has said that "science is dead without free speech".

- To convince people you're not the same as the other guys, you have to be about something more than just winning the next election, which (ironically?) will help you win elections and (sarcasm loading) has the tangential benefit of actually improving the lives of those you serve.
