Nick Young
I am a ball of anime and game references, Simpsons quotes, and stuff masquerading as a grownup who builds networking things for Cloud Native software, like Gateway API and Cilium.
Black lives matter.

- It's hard to go past whatever Bambu printer you have budget for - my X1C is my second 3d printer, and it excels at being an appliance rather than a hobby in itself. Bambu is not as open source as other manufacturers, but they seem to be far and away the easiest to get something working with.
- The good part here is that Ingress itself isn't going away, and you have a great alternative with Gateway API, with lots of implementations for both.
- I feel like I should also mention that Cilium supports both Ingress and Gateway API, if you are already using it as your CNI.
- Look out if you're at Kubecon, @lookitup.baby and I have a new way to cause (good) trouble
- That's incredible!

- I was about to say the same thing! Would be great to see either or both of you again in Amsterdam.

- Dang, I'm also in the skipping-this-one crowd. Maybe we can catch up at a Kubecon EU sometime though?

- I haven't even logged in!

- Pretty interesting that that article entirely misses one of the points of the story - that the thing that made Nell's copy of the book special was that there was a human ractoe behind the book...
- If you see this, quote this post with an anime you'd give a perfect 10/10

- That looks like it could be the movie poster for a romcom...

- It really felt like someone was a huge fan of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy...

- This is a banger even by @lookitup.baby's high standards.

- I'm just sad you didn't get to use this as a headline for an article! Top shelf skeet, would read again.

- This one of the many translations I have to run when I go to the US - with the other big one being capsicum -> peppers.
- Which is to say yeah, regional food dialects are wild

- I'm definitely glad you're still here mate. Here's to a better 2025!

- I am a big person, and I can't do a carry-on either for that reason. I thought I was the only one tbh. 😅
- Well, I've got the TuringPi mounted into its case and racked, next up will be installing Talos Linux on them, although I think I will wait for the v1.9.0 release, because support for the RK1 boards has been merged!
- Thanks to @NicoBerlee.social.on2it.net.ap.brid.gy for all the great work on his friendly Talos fork, and for getting the support merged in ready for v1.9!
- Uh, that's a truth bomb for the ages...

- No worries, great to see you again too!
- I'll be giving my last talk for #kubecon week in just under an hour! Come see Still Don't Do What Charlie Don't Does: Making API changes safer, would love to see folks there. kccncna2024.sched.com/event/1i7py/...

- I can't speak for anyone else but I know I missed all of you.
- I'm at the Kubernetes contrib summit for most of today, feel free to say hi, especially if you want to chat Gatway API stuff! Otherwise, I'll be around at #kubecon all week.
- Jet lag update: slept surprisingly well, and enjoying the talks at #rejekts today. Quietly concerned about having one talk a day for the next five days though!
- Once the big week of Kubecon is over next week, looking forward to getting this baby installed and up and running - it's a Turing Pi board with 2 RK1 and 2 Raspberry Pi CM4 modules. It's going to be the Kube home lab.

- Yeah, it's good for both electronics _and_ Lego!
- Well, I'm a bit jet lagged but I am here in SLC for #kubecon!
- Hey folks, if you think you belong on one of these lists, let me know. These are similar lists to the ones I made on X/Twitter which were used quite a bit.
- Cloud native for me please?
- Okay, got around to doing the domain thing, since this place is now where it's at ™️

- Any chance I could get in before then?

- Looking forward to when folks not in the US can pay for this, I ran it over my LinkedIn and it worked great!
- Who doesn't love an "I was there early" commemoration post?

- tbh "the void" really is the best way I've seen yet to describe New Twitter.
- Just gutted. When I think of her, I think of: - bear hugs - always saying the c-bomb near me, because "You're Australian, right?" 🥲 - warmth - community - being not only proud of who she was, but there for everyone who needed the support she wished she had previously. I'll miss her.

- I actually don't remember the exact words of ours (it was 14 years ago), but I know that I pinched some from when Scott and Jean from the X-Men got married:

- Casual Cyberman selfie today...
- When I saw Jack's skeets earlier, I honestly thought that someone had sneakily registered the name, added a picture of Ian from Mythic Quest as the avatar, and started trying to rile people up as much as possible.

- It's an overcast day in Positano, but Mr 7 and I are on our way to Pompeii and Vesuvius!
- Yeah, everyone wasn't kidding that this place is awesome. Nice to be here.
