Danggit Windows, stop trying to do weird stuff!
Changed my color space from 12 bit to 10 bit to test something, and noticed my colors were faded on the main monitor. Confirmed color space was set to full in the nvidia control panel.
Feb 2, 2026 05:43Even confirmed HDR was off. Turns out if "Automatically manage color for apps" is set on in the System > Display > Color Management, it'll 'think' you're in HDR even if it's turned off! Cool OS guys!
Big thanks to Reddit for the save there. Was washed out even after restarting the PC.
