- I went to Mt. Norikura at northern Japanese alps last weekend for TA works. The environment was very unique and many plants I’ve never seen were there. Going back to the base, I saw the dynamic changes of the vegetation from alpine zone to subalpine zone. It was a good experience for me.

- Parts of gemma development and the timing to determine the dorsoventrality are especially interesting. Besides, I learned the importance of examining all three planes; frontal, sagittal, and transverse, to see a whole picture of gene expression pattern in 3D structure.

- Given the recent advances in omics technologies and bioinformatics software, if I have enough money, I can do almost anything we want to do. Therefore I have to think hard and deeply about what is interesting, what is important, and what is what I want to dedicate my life to.
- Ideally, is it possible to assign quantitative volumes to all factors controlling the development in whatever plants you are researching on? I want to use MorphoGraphX to reconstruct its complete development process in silico.
