This is a list of followback engagement farmers. These are accounts posting stuff like “RT if you agree,” using lots of hashtags, posting lists of people to follow, etc Follow-for-follow networks are used to spread disinformation.

This is a personal list, I'm not telling anyone to use or follow this list. It's purely so I know why I've got certain people blocked and/or muted.

An assortment of accounts who exploit others or profit from the work of others. Includes users of AI generators, content scrapers, piracy enthusiasts, and landlords.

I get it, you want solidarity, and you want it NOW. Here’s the problem — that’s a red carpet for grifters and bad faith actors. This is a MUTE list, not a block list (though that can change) and it exists to prevent the replication of bad behavioral patterns from twtr.

For users who refuse to use alt-text. Missing it once won’t get you on the list, but consistent failure to participate fully in the site will. Alt is how this site indexes, and it’s how we are inclusive of those with slow connections and low vision. Refusal to alt is refusal to communicate.

Not a block list at this time. For users who have demonstrated that they are willing to sell out or sell out others for paltry sums for LLM training, and/or are excited and enthusiastic about the bullshit machine that uses more power than Belgium and destroys drinking water. But dude, you suck.

Uses generative AI extensively and to the detriment of their field. This is a block list. 3 instances of genAI in one’s media gets you on this list. Getting off this list requires removing all genAI and removing from sale anything made with genAI or that used genAI marketing materials.
