~What's the best way to eat an elephant?~
I'm probably the person to talk to if you have passionate opinions about the part of the early 90s where Fox had an hour of Sunday comedies from 10-11 PM.
- Way more chance they went to Fulton County to preemptively cover up 2024 misdeeds than to "find" anything improper from 2020.
- The two competing "unrelated" FB posts, where "Dad" wants to watch the TPUSA Halftime show and daughter will not like it, and "Daughter" has been told that "we're watching the TPUSA show at halftime, deal with it" by grandma and dad, and the comparative engagement with each... is something.

- Trump may have been one of the few pols where a cursory awareness of pop culture was a massive benefit, as those paying attention to entertainment knew he was a racist, self-aggrandizing shitbag over decades of media interaction. Yeah, the "Ghosts Can't Do It" guy.
- Anytime Trump brings up Epstein:

- My mom and brother have both gone full on mask off MAGA shitbag in the last year. One of the last things my dad told me before he died was that he didn't think (my brother) was actually his. It's a thinker.
- From watching history YouTube, few things deliver what's on the tin like guys named Wildman.
- The NHL is the only pro league where you can watch streaming and they're like "no, we couldn't sell an ad here, watch this screen saver from 1997 instead".
- Republicans on the Epstein Files- "yeah, all the child rape is unfortunate... but have you seen the TRINKETS the Democrats got? It's like half a Homan worth, appalling!" (the people who got trinkets also need to get busted)
- Are there any Groundhog Day dine out specials?
- It's a small bit of cold comfort that the propaganda doc got wrecked by the theater marquee, "A Film By Markiplier".
- Items that have gotten quantifiably worse in the last few months: Gain detergent, significantly more water Entenmann's donuts, noticeably smaller donuts Chips Ahoy!, smaller cookies
- I mean, Klint Kubiak was NOT on a "Head Coach Stock Watch" sheet last year, he was probably closer to getting shunted down to position coach or back to college. Deep down, he knows he's still the guy who got fired as the Saints OC last year, so take your truck full of cash to go 5-12 for 3 years.
- Big thanks to Kellogg's for keeping the same box size but adding 30% more air!
- I feel like the "every service industry should have a tipping standard" and the accompanying payment prompts are just a pernicious way for drycleaners or plumbing supply owners to claim they should be able to pay workers "reduced base+tips" once they get 5-10 years of information they can cite.
- I mean, you CAN take the "it was all anonymous self-reported tips!" stance... but not if you already took a "we need to deeply examine the VAERS submissions for harm!" line 2-3 years ago.
- Saw gas prices creeping back up, so the Venezuela bump lasted three weeks. Seems like pretty light benefit for all the chaos.
- Coconut White Chocolate Milano- 11/10
- If you wanted me to pick an off-the-radar Catherine O'Hara movie to watch and appreciate, I'd point to A Simple Twist Of Fate.
- There's something sad about the idea that Safeway went from Friday sales that stocked people up on staple items at a discount price to "these are things no one is buying, so that's the Friday sale!" 5/$5 Organic Baby Food! $9 for a dozen donuts! $5 small cat litter!
- They got one on the big board on Thursday morning (so that they can backroom maneuver this into a "we got something done late Saturday night, just quickly enough for Rs to take victory laps on Meet The Press, no, it's not a good deal, but it's a deal" solution that Schumer has been so exemplary at.)
- For Renee & Alex & everyone whose rights ICE has & continues to violate: Senate Democrats on Thursday blocked a spending package needed to keep the government open past a Friday midnight deadline www.nytimes.com/live/2026/01...
- "My Real Issue Isn't With My Enemies, But With My Allies Who Haven't Taken The Time To Know Proper Framing And Verbiage In These Matters."
- In the same way that PTA chose to invoke the Sopranos by using Dirty Work, I wish there had been a sex scene that ended with DiCaprio yelling out "Beverly Hills, what a thrill!"
- One of the most useful things I learned in school was when the science teacher told us how he got an eyelash under his contact lens and it sawed into his cornea and infected his eye, a testament to properly caring for your contacts.
- On the weather hand, terrible. On the food hand, puts me in the mood for ham.
- Things that were .99 at Winco; (roughly 40% of regular price at Safeway/FM) 6 pack Hoagie Rolls French bread Small flat of blackberries
- I mean, if you're interviewing both of them, Kubiak used the guy Shula supposedly busted last year- even as his career got back on track as a whole- and dogwalked him in the two biggest games of the year. Huh.
- Man, I hope that wasn't the best movie of the year. Good, sure. But really lumpy pacing wise, and the "I'd have rather been with (character X) for this story" critiques were extremely valid.
- Any religious organization that isn't vocally standing up against the Trump regime pings my "you're more concerned about being tax exempt on valuable city property than spreading the good word" buzzer.
- They're gonna show Malcolm Butler SO MANY TIMES.
- The Tariq Woolen foul needs to start an IMMEDIATE discussion about how close to the field position coaches and staffers should get for trash talk.
- You're gonna have TEAM STAFF on the sideline poking at a player to draw the weakest unsportsmanlike conduct ever to keep a game that's spiraling away competitive? That's two fucking flags and you make Joey Sweatshirt go to the fucking locker room, terrible.
- If they lose, I'm going to point to the decision to do all the "Seattle, well known traditional home of Country music!" adornments as a major contributing factor. You have Seattle's deep music bench and chose two B- country "stars" in the showcase slots? Oof.
