- Tomorrow when I wake up, I'll be older than I've ever been, for the first time in 20 years. It's an odd story of the time I spent in a coma. In my early 20s, I had a near-fatal lung infection, 90 days in the ICU. As a last-ditch effort, doctors put me in a medically induced coma. 1/5
