- Westminster's Bayswater Rd scheme would deliver a safer continuous cycling connection linking Cycleways 3 and 27, as well as providing a direct east–west route along the north side of Hyde Park. Last chance to have your say: cmsbayswaterroad.commonplace.is @citywestminster.bsky.social

- With the expansion of @london.gov.uk's network of cycleways expanding to over 430km, celebrities arriving at events on two wheels and cycling trips surging to 1,500,000 every day - London is fast becoming a cycling city. 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲 Read all about it: www.thetimes.com/uk/london/ar...
- Delighted to join @londoncycling.bsky.social Cycle Sisters @citywestminster.bsky.social & others to try out the excellent new cycle lanes on Lambeth Bridge - formally one of the most dangerous junctions in London. Massive thanks to the Tarmac Keir Joint Venture & TfL.

- Great to be working with @plaistovian.bsky.social & colleagues from Newham Council. This new crossing on Water Lane will make it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle in the area.
- London's Tideway super sewer is not just cleaning up the Thames, it's also created new bits of city. The stunning new Bazalgette Embankment - built on the foreshore by Blackfriars Bridge - is now open with new planting, seating, art & lovely views of the river.
- The Court of Appeal’s ruling provides welcome clarity on the scope of London boroughs' legal duties to implement and retain schemes funded by TfL to implement the Mayor’s Transport Strategy. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
- The Great Eastern St/Shoreditch High St/Commercial St is one of the most dangerous in London. Following support at consultation, I'm delighted TfL is proceeding with transformational safety scheme, including: 🚲bike lanes 🚦new & upgraded crossing ⤴️restricting dangerous turns
- The Court of Appeal's judgement stopping Tower Hamlets from ripping out safety infrastructure is good news for Londoners. It's good for road safety & reducing danger. It's good for air quality, good for health, and good for communities across the capital. www.standard.co.uk/news/london/...

- The construction of Cycleway 13 along Clerkenwell Road has started in Camden - the plan is that this continues so that it connects up with C13 at Old Street.
- The new cycle lanes along Westfield Avenue in the Olympic park will form part of Cycleway 25 - adding to London's growing cycle network. Signs expected to be in by March. C25 runs from Stratford Westfield in Newham to Waterden Rd in Hackney.
- And the signs are in along Cycleway 54 from Canning Town to City Airport 💚
- Good to see work underway on Cycle Future Route 7 - between Leyton, Stratford, West Ham & Plaistow in Newham. Phase 1A will run along Liberty Bridge Rd, and the A112 from Leyton Rd at Chobham Rd to Angel Lane at Great Eastern Rd. newhamco-create.co.uk/en/projects/...
- I do like this little scheme on Bayley St - just off Tottenham Court Rd. This was a signal controlled junction from a one-way street, contraflow cycling was added & then the junction filtered with a cycle track. Now it's a bike lane & a new public space with SuDS. 🚲☔️☘️💚
- More of London's roads will have safer speed limits because there's irrefutable evidence it save lives: 📉 25% fewer main road collisions 📉 34% fewer people killed or serious injured on local roads 📉75% fall in children killed on local roads @itvnews.bsky.social itv.com/news/london/...

- To celebrate International Women's Day on the 8th March, we will be naming 10 Santander hire bikes after women cycling stars and unsung heroes. Submit your nominations by emailing: SantanderCyclesvote@tfl.gov.uk bbc.co.uk/news/article...
- Lovely to see more tarmac and concrete being converted into new green spaces. Rain gardens not only look great, but also help mitigate the impact of intense rainfall & local flooding associated with climate change. Last year we delivered over 50,000msq of SuDs across London.
- V sad news.
- London has just recorded the lowest murder rate since records began. The evidence is clear, the @mayoroflondon.bsky.social's approach to tackling violent crime is working. #DontBelieveTheHaters
- Working with London's Boroughs, @TfL have: 🚌 Introduced 25km of new bus lanes ⏱️Built on the success of the 24/7 bus lane programme & extended operating hours of 3km more bus lanes 🚌Removed almost 100 parking bays from our bus lanes And there's much more to come...

- Reposted by Will NormanThe government is going to let councils outside London ban pavement parking by motorists. www.gov.uk/government/s... It's been banned in London since 1974, and promoted in this memorable GLC advert.
- Great to see the Streatham Hill cycle lanes being built. The A23 here has a terrible safety record. Tragically, 3 people have been killed in the area. There've been over 70 collisions in last 3 yrs. This scheme will make it safer for everyone with new bike lanes & pedestrian crossings.
- I really welcome the new National Road Safety Strategy. With 28,000 people killed or serious injured on GB roads each year, it's astonishing there's been no new strategy since 2011. The plan's ambitious with policies that'll help save lives in London too. 👏 @transportgovuk.bsky.social
- It's cold out there and many of the roads are extremely slippery - so please take care while travelling. 🥶🥶 TfL teams have been out with our cycle lane 'gritters' - named 'Chris Gritty', 'David Plowie' & 'Spready Salted' - helping keep our bike lanes ice free.

- With 30,000 people killed or seriously injured every year on this country's roads, I can't believe we haven't had a Road Safety Strategy since 2011. This week the government will be publishing a new one. Well done @liliangreenwood.bsky.social & team. Looking forward to seeing the details.
- I'm very pleased to see that the new pedestrian crossing of the A2 at Blackheath Hill in Greenwich has been finished. This has been much needed for far too long and will help people safely cross these busy roads. Big thanks to the @tfl team.
- Big thanks @XOBikes for fixing my broken wheel today at their new shop at 176 Blackfriars Rd. XO is a social enterprise which fixes & sells donated bikes. Staff are ex-offenders who've been trained as profession mechanics. All profits go towards training more ex-offenders.

- Yet more evidence that debunks the ridiculous, but often cited, myth that cycle lanes increase air pollution!!
- 🥶It's chilly out this week, but no need to stop cycling. Wrap up warm with an extra layer, thicker gloves & 2 pairs of socks. Slow down & ease off on corners. We're treating roads & bike lanes but it can still be icy. Top winter tips from the LCC: lcc.org.uk/advice/winte...

- Illegal ghost number plates are a hole in the UK's security infrastructure. They enable organised crime groups to operate undetected on our road network, let unsafe & dangerous drivers off the hook, and result in a significant loss of public funds. transportsafetyappg.org.uk/inquiries/ve...
- London's Walking & Cycling Grants provide funding for community groups to enable people from all backgrounds to walk & cycle more. I'm delighted TfL & London Marathon Foundation are investing £500,000 in 180 projects to be delivered in 2026. tfl-newsroom.prgloo.com/news/tfl-and...
