- 1. Just reviewed a manuscript for a CJ journal that was, I am 99% certain, AI generated. The writing was grammatically correct yet clunky and awk. IRB state assurance was wedged into the data analysis section. Bold statements "no study has ever done the thing..." yet vague on details.
- 4. This AI slop-factory-output is easy to detect this year. In a few years we are going to be overwhelmed with AI slop bullshit, but it will be difficult to detect. It will be a tsunami of fabricated crap, increasingly more difficult to distinguish from the good, honest research. SMH.
