- Objectively I am very bad at painting minis. I’m too lazy to do the fancy flashy stuff and I resort to shortcuts and don’t clean up after myself. I love my ugly ass minis, and I wouldn’t want to change anything about them (other than occasionally glazing things now that I’ve tried that once)

- This sounds like an insane stance but as a - to put it lightly - fan of Warhammer and Warhammer 40k, I think it is essential for the health of the franchisees and their continued quality level for Jared Leto to be cast in a significant role for the upcoming Amazon TV show.

- I'm not gonna fuck around; I found JKR to be a phenomenally difficult drop. Those books meant the world to me, the movies are how I bonded at all with my sister, the studio tour, I went to midnight book releases (I even one on holiday in the us). I did it, cold and clean, but it sucked. Fuck her.
- Just realised I've painted 5000 points of Death Guard and every single one of them is wearing a mask. They're literally all about spreading plague, chemical warfare and worshipping disease and yet they're all following good practice when out in public. They're better at it than I am.
- Question for the chat: when does the feeling that your stable and under control life is about to fall apart and you're about to go back to the nadir like… stop?

- We overtook the same guy driving solo in a truck like nine times and on his tenth time overtaking us in return he wound down the window, tears in his eyes from laughter and asked “are you guys playing looney tunes?”, asked us where we were headed and was genuinely sad he wasn’t going the same way.
- We had lunch in a random Culvers in a small town and on seeing our out of state license plate the manager personally bought our Frozen Custard and Butterburgers over and checked that we were enjoying them. He did a genuine double take on hearing British accents.
- I wanna say, for the record, I’ve been telling people that the Midwest and Minnesota is the best place in the United States for over a decade now and nobody believed me. In 2022 I said it to a bunch of Americans and they told me it was “all racist hicks out there”. I am more vindicated by the day.
