- Immigration rights activist Jeannette Vizguerra-Ramirez was released yesterday from a for-profit GEO Immigration Detention Center in Denver. A federal immigration judge ordered her release on bond after finding that the Department of Homeland Security failed to justify her continued detention.

- CA Attorney General Rob Bonta finds unsafe and unsanitary conditions at the newly opened California City ICE detention center run by CoreCivic. CoreCivic has said they're following all fed regs. DOJ staff finds some detainees have to spend 23-24 hours a day in their housing unit.

- Just noting that driving in the east county of San Diego today for about 2 hours, I was stopped twice and asked to answer my citizenship by Border Patrol agents and I can’t think of a time ever in my life where there was so much involvement and/or personal contact.
