The heat dome responsible for Tampa’s first 100 degree temperature on record (135 years) is very impressive in intensity and scope. The magenta indicates where the mid-upper level ridge (high pressure) is record setting for this time of year. It will be stronger tomorrow.
We did it!! Tampa hit 100 degrees at the airport at 3:30 pm for the first time on record!!
Records go back to 1890. It took 135 years.
