Holocaust Remembrance Day on Bluesky
You can be against the actions of Trump & ICE & also against Holocaust trivialisation.

This is what war looks like not in words, but in reality.

I think the base assumption tippexing out the ethnicity of an offender was driven by honourable intentions is part of the problem here. We shouldn’t assume those who sought to conceal facts were well intentioned.
I’d explain how this is Holocaust trivialisation but I’d be wasting my breath. It’s too popular for anyone to care.

Dear god, the replies & QTs. A constant stream of it. No push back either. Just allowed to stand without comment <<walks back out again>>

This whole incident is repellent. Portnoy was too generous in his reaction but that’s what’s too often expected of victims of antisemitism. They have to imagine their persecutors are capable of change in a way we don’t treat other racists. And the antisemites never change. They always do it again.
Awful lot of people on here seem to think Labour’s great error is not pointing out what a failure Brexit has been but Brexit not delivering doesn’t mean those who voted for it don’t still care about the issues that motivated their vote & Labour aren’t exactly delivering on anything.
What strikes me about Kneecap is how much of a product of Corbynism they are. Without Corbyn & McDonnell’s political moment they would never have gained global attention.

I do so love being lectured about who is & isn’t ‘vulnerable’ by men absolutely determined to cast women & girls as oppressors when we’re the victims of over 1m police reported violent incidents/yr, which will obviously be tip of the iceberg given overwhelming majority of violence goes unreported.
But he’s not a misogynist, you understand. Just amazing.
I can’t quite comprehend how staggeringly unaware of your own misogyny you’d have to be to suggest a campaign of ‘civil disobedience’ which comprised solely of men invading the single sex spaces of women to try to provoke them to reaction.
Amongst these women were plenty of lawyers with decades of relevant legal experience who calmly & politely explained the law as it stands but were disdained & those who did so never once questioned themselves. Now they are having huge tantrums having discovered the icky middle aged women were right.

Fred Thursday’s dialogue in Endeavour is under appreciated: “It’s him, I know it is, I can feel it in my corns”
