- Then again, the anxious conservative might try to cope with their anxiety by turning toward rigid structures and familiar hierarchies, gender roles, and so on. So probably it doesn't have much to do with left/right wing beliefs. But fun to speculate
- There are only a few things I'll never buy on principle: books from ama/zon, for instance. I love indie bookshops too much to support their most ruthless predator
- Much like my attempts to reduce waste (buying drinks in recyclable metal cans instead of plastic bottles, for instance), my attempts at shopping ethically are stymied by *systems that suck*.. but I still try to keep up with where my money is really going. As much as I can manage
- There are several places I avoid shopping at most of the time, but occasionally do when most convenient - ama/zon, tar/get, wal/mart, star/bucks I've never set foot in a chick fil a, or a hobby lobby; I prefer other restaurants and craft stores anyway My "guilty pleasure" store is whole foods
