I don't think Izzy & Ed met very early in Ed's pirate days but I do like to think about Ed establishing himself as an early version of Blackbeard under Hornigold, deciding to mutiny, then Izzy killing Ed's second evil father without knowing Ed's past while Ed can't figure out why he feels so squirmy
Like Izzy just sees Ed hesitate & he likes Ed & wants him to live so he stabs Horni. & Ed's like, he's a monster for killing his dad & is Izzy a monster too. Is he Ed's monster. Is he the monstrous part of Ed. He's not thinking much though bc Izzy's covered in blood looking at him & Ed gets a boner
