- 1/9/25 I found out that Bluesky limits it's users actions. Every follow, post, like, and comment costs 3 points. Profile edits and updates costs 2 points. Deleting something costs 1 point. You only get 5,000 points per hour and 35,000 per 24 hours. Once someone hits their rate limit,
- They pretty much can no longer use the app to do anything. Even if someone follows you, you cannot follow them back once you have hit the limit. This limits people's ability to engage with others and puts them in time-out if someone posts too much. This is Censorship. #1stAmendment 💜❤️🔥
- It's not censorship. It's rate limiting to reduce their operating costs. They're not a huge, rich mega corp like Meta or X, so they have to be conscious of these things. Also, the First Amendment doesn't apply to private entities, only the government.
- Billionaires own the politicians on both sides, so that makes the billionaires the government technically, so technically that would be the government stepping on my 1st amendment right.
- Come on. I respect your position of anti-fascism and anti-communism, but at least arm yourself with the facts. What you're saying simply is not reality.
- If a corporation is legally now a person that can give unlimited money to politicians to influence them. Why can't a billionaire become a government and rule over people?
