- Reposted by UNISON in Further EducationUniversities would not function without support staff. A 1.4% pay offer is an insult to their hard work and dedication. All staff deserve better than a real-terms pay cut. The UNISON pay ballot for industrial action opens TODAY. VOTE YES for industrial action. #fundourfuture #fundourpay

- Last week, trade unions and the Association of Colleges (AoC) launched its Just Transition road map for colleges as part of a just transition for the climate and sustainability. Creating a greener, fairer and more sustainable future is essential for jobs, skills and education.
- Yesterday, the Association of Colleges delayed making a pay recommendation to its college members. This is extremely disappointing, especially when extra funds put into FE over the past two years has not been reflected in staff pay packets. That must change. #it'stimeforfairpay

- Staff in FE are badly paid, with pay having fallen by 40%+ in real terms since 2010. In England, staff in FE colleges lack the advantages of national bargaining: a disparity between schools and colleges on pay negotiations. UNISON is calling on members to join the campaign & sign the pledge.
- Staff in FE have seen their pay fall by 40%+ in real terms since 2010. UNISON is committed to calling for a joint position to bring in fully funded national bargaining in England. We're asking members in FE to pledge to get involved in future activities & encourage colleagues to join the campaign.
- UNISON general secretary: ‘Despite fighting chronically low pay, our further education members have campaigned hard for proper national pay bargaining… if govts. across the UK are serious about improving life chances… I would say to them, look no further than the FE and Sixth Form sector.’ (15:36)
- Champions in Our Colleges celebrates support staff working in further education, giving all staff recognition to the hard work and dedication they show every day. Congratulations to our winners of #ChampionsInOurColleges, and a big thank you to all support staff in FE for the amazing work you do.
