- City Councillors will vote on Toronto's Budget next week, which includes historic investments in affordability - the third consecutive fare freeze in a row, and the roll-out of fare capping. But we know not all Councillors are fans! Join us tonight for a phone zap collab with Environmental Defence!

- BREAKING: TTC CEO confirms that Line 5 will be open for transit riders on Feb 8th! Cautions that it will be a phased opening and will move into full operation later in the year. IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME!
- We’re at the TTC Board meeting today. CEO Mandeep Lali is giving an update about Line 5. He’s really milking the presentation keeping us on the edge of our seats about whether it’s gonna open on Feb 8th. Stay tuned for updates.

- Scathing. And throughout all this infighting and finger pointing, riders are left behind. All we want is transit that works!
- Steve Munro appreciation post!! Thank you for everything that you do advocating for better transit. The TTC would be much worse off without your advocacy, and our work would be so, so much harder. We’re looking forward to many more years of collaborating, scheming and fist shaking! ❤️❤️❤️

- Objectively good news! But we need: We need a public inquiry to make sure future transit projects don’t face the same issues. Assurances from Metrolinx and Crosslinx that it won’t have the same problems as Line 6. Signal priority ASAP. We need it to work. toronto.citynews.ca/2026/01/26/e...

- Line 6 seemingly doesn't work in the snow! While Metrolinx, the TTC, and the private consortium of companies point fingers at each other over issues with Line 6, riders are left with unreliable and broken transit. We need a public inquiry into Line 6 and other provincial P3 transit projects!

- It's time for TTCriders' Wrapped. Here's some of the biggest accomplishments we've had in 2025! (a thread 🧵) 1/7
- “A fare freeze and fare capping mean riders will save money, have more predictable costs, and won’t be punished for needing to take transit frequently. Choosing to invest in affordability sends a clear message that transit is a public service, not a luxury" nowtoronto.com/news/an-impo...

- We're at the TTC Board talking about the BUDGET! A budget which includes a fare freeze and fare capping. Obviously, we're in support. Follow along for updates, or watch live here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=46Zl...
- So we’re stuck with the same obfuscation and lack of transparency with the maintenance of these lines that we’ve had throughout construction? TTC has gotta take over the maintenance ASAP. At the very least Mosaic and Crosslinx need to have a presence at the TTC Board to be held accountable.

- update:
- New billion-dollar transit lines shouldn't get stuck for *this long* waiting at red lights. That's why we're happy to see a motion coming to City Council this week to implement stronger transit signal priority and other measures to speed up LRTs - but it won't happen without your voice! 1/2
