If you were an actor would you feel comfortable in a roll that required you to act out sexual or physical violence against a woman?
I don’t mean superhero violence where a man and a woman are fighting
100% no
I couldnt even use sexist, racist language (opposite the playwright herself) when performing a scene. The author was understanding and very cool — she taught all of us “straight white males” a valuable lesson in a really cool way
