FWIW, this is a misleadingly written article. Jeffries said to ban *detainment* of US citizens, in addition to deportation.
Also, it’s not “further” than Schumer, it’s a different set of demands distinct from the Senate’s.
(And only Senate votes matter here anyway, GOP House already passed it)
