- Reposted by Tom R. PikeAOC: We are going to have to reckon, as a country, with this time. And I hope that that reckoning includes prosecution of people who are involved with the lawbreaking and human rights violations they are knowingly engaging in right now.
- Never been later to a party, but I’m finally watching DS9. The backstories of most of the major characters are ludicrous. God I love Trek.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

- Reposted by Tom R. PikeA big part of the story here is that women like Renee Good are braver and stronger than they could have ever imagined and that just doesn't fit with what MAGA men tell themselves about how gender works. It just does not compute.

- My "favorite" reviewer is the guy who buys every single Warhammer 40k book (verified purchases!) reads them, leaves them 1 star if they have any women in them, threatens that he will stop buying the books, then buys the next one
- As he included my story as "one of the good" ones in his now-removed Goodreads review, because it had a male protagonist, I would like to be clear that I wish him and anyone who thinks like him nothing but misery in this life. Thanks for the royalty payment though!

- Reposted by Tom R. PikeKinda funny that Trump thinks "asylum" means other countries send people from insane asylums, and a) this is real life, not a ham-handed Idiocracy-type satire, b) he has surely been corrected several times but is incapable of updating his priors, & c) most media politely agree not to mention it.

- This is why there’s moralizing in my fiction. I’m not sorry & it won’t change. It’s there because there are bad people, and when they read my stories, I don’t want it to be possible for them to imagine themselves as my story’s hero. ”I know writers who use subtext, and they’re all cowards.“
