Seriously, I'm not 'scared' of anything in this country that could, or wants to, kill me ... except crocodiles. And paper wasps. Terrifying ... absolutely 'territorially terrifying' if you piss them off. And intelligent, too.
If you treat them with calm and respect, you can reach an understanding with paper wasps. Excellent for garden pest control; won't sting familiar, well-behaved humans. Yes, quite intelligent :)

Jan 26, 2026 00:57I learned that the hard & very painful way but yes, ultimately, we did have some very mature, intelligent discussions about how to keep me safe & them retaining their never ending stings wherever they 'retain' them!
Like so many animals we live with they are very intune with our minds. I think they can read our minds. 🤓
