- I am so sick of the trend in websites, blogs, substacks, etc of having white backgrounds with gray text. Some use such a light gray text that their content is virtually unreadable. Who the fuck decided this was a sensible way to display text? They should be taken out the back and be shot. #UI
- Contact Energy are putting up their charges AGAIN. I have been looking on their website for a list of the actual rates they charge for each plan. Can I find it anywhere on the site? No. Can I easily contact them and get it? No! #NZ
- It's a rule in New Zealand society that whenever there are two or more people gathered together in a place and somebody says, "How bizarre", the others have to repeat it twice. #NZ #BizarreRules

- Just realised my KDE widget displays the short date in US format and there is no way to change it except by changing it to either long date or ISO. I would have thought it would be set to display by my Regional defaults - but no. US format it is. #KDE #Widget #USDateISWrong #Linux

- Decided to risk the health of the entire family today by making garlic confit. Potential botulism here we come! I have sampled the result and advised the family to watch me closely.
