Lord no. Tissot, for years
"Lord no"? 🤔
(whispers) I have an Omega Seamaster.
I mean "Lord, no, I was never able to afford that" and also "I am a bit of a dandy and do not wear chunky watches"
I had always wanted an Omega watch since I was a kid and I learned the astronauts wore Omegas to the moon. I finally bought myself one after I got a promotion at work 20+ years ago. It is chunky, though, so I generally only wear it during short-sleeve weather.

Mr Tell, I inherited a Seamaster from my late father, along with a Rolex. Both watches make great "safe queens" -- rarely worn. (As a military guy, it's digital tool watches, mostly. Casio and Suunto.)
The Omega is an expensive watch, but much cheaper than a comparable Rolex or Breitling. I didn't buy it as an investment, so I wear it without worrying too much. It's still in great condition but the stainless steel band is pretty scuffed up. FWIW, I'm a runner, so my "everyday" watch is a Garmin.

Indeed. The capacity of a G-shock, Garmin, and Suunto remains unrivaled in its use by folks in the defense, nat-sec space. Precise radio-controlled time; water-resistance; world time, etc. Here's my $90 Casio purchased in 2009 in Iraq. Survived two tours there. As precise as ever:
That's a watch with some good stories to tell. 🙂
