Xabungle is a lot of fun and very goofy.
Easily Tomino’s best comedy and it’s still my favorite Non-Gundam anime from him.
A number of his other works definitely take some ideas from Xabungle as well.
bsky.app/profile/d180...On the 6th of February 1982, the 1st episode of Combat Mecha Xabungle aired. Written & directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, the series ran for 50 episodes & had a film compilation called Xabungle Graffiti in 1983. It debuted in SRW Alpha Gaiden (PS1) in 2001.
