- Spy cameras on Norwegian gas plant: Cameras that monitored Melkøya discovered The police in Finnmark have discovered two advanced cameras that continuously filmed the gas plant on Melkøya in the municipality of Hammerfest.
- The cameras are said to have been set up by a foreign company and are advanced equipment that, among other things, captures temperature differences and can film in detail under very demanding lighting conditions and weather.
- Our investigation has also revealed that other homeowners in the area have been contacted by the company and offered payment to have these cameras installed, says police attorney Anja Mikkelsen Indbjør.
- The homeowner who agreed to have the cameras on his house wall was allegedly led to believe that the camera surveillance had been pre-approved by Equinor. Which turned out not to be the case.
