- There are many layers to the terror we're seeing on our streets, and the future of the mental health and wellness of those impacted is a conversation we WILL have to confront. What Christopher points to is true - thousands of kids, and their families, will be strapped with state-induced PTSD, etc.
- Reposted by The Immigrant Legal Resource CenterNot only is it Black History Month. It’s also its 100th anniversary!! To commemorate its centennial, I wrote a list of 10 Black films, one from each of the last 10 decades, to stream.

- As tensions rise and ICE funding conversations balloon at the federal level, it is important we also focus on local communities. San Antonio is one of the latest cities to allow ICE to purchase real estate for the function of creating more detention centers. www.sacurrent.com/news/san-ant...
- Reposted by The Immigrant Legal Resource CenterAgain, this is FALSE. Administrative warrants are NOT signed by an immigration judge (or any judge at all). They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves with no external oversight whatsoever. Here is a blank sample warrant. Note who signs off on it; an "immigration officer."

- ICE funding continues being polarizing and bipartisan. @axios.com reports on the divisions within Dem Party leadership on voting for the legislation that would keep DHS funded for two more weeks. Meanwhile, our communities have been loud and clear — ABOLISH ICE. www.axios.com/2026/02/02/d...

- Reposted by The Immigrant Legal Resource CenterFeeling helpless? Get involved. From all I'm seeing and hearing from our neighbors in MLPS, these resistance networks didn't spring up overnight; they were built, brick by brick, for years. The best time to get involved was yesterday; the second best time is today. We all have a place in the work
- 🚨Happening now — demonstration within Dilley Detention Center in TX by 1,500~ folks detained within the facility🚨 Those detained state their reasons for the demonstration include the recent harrowing news out of MN as well as the mistreatment of Liam Ramos, a pre-schooler recently detained by ICE.

- The only fix is to ABOLISH ICE. Recent reports have brought to light an ICE memo wrongly permitting ICE agents, in direct violation of the Constitution, to enter private homes without warrants to unlawfully execute Trump’s cruel mass deportation agenda.
- Reposted by The Immigrant Legal Resource Center🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional! ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.
- As ICE and our federal government continue steamrolling past our legal rights, experts say this is "a very confusing time for lawyers and the public alike." We’re dealing with violent enforcement, and unprecedented overreach of power nationwide. @npr.org www.npr.org/2026/01/17/n...
- Since Trump’s inauguration one year ago today, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) has worked tirelessly in fighting back against his administration’s horrific policies of attempting to end immigration to the United States and tearing apart families within our communities. 🧵
- Reposted by The Immigrant Legal Resource Center🚨WHOA. The El Paso Medical Examiner says it will rule the death of a 55-year-old Cuban man at ICE's "Camp East Montana" tent camp as a homicide. He was allegedly choked to death by a guard during a "struggle" after he refused to enter a housing unit without his medications.
- SCOOP from Douglas Macmillan Medical examiner believes death of man in ICE custody was homicide, recording says www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...
- Every day more people are waking up to new violent horrors committed by an agency that is barely over 20 years old. If we are to truly seek a brighter future that is grounded in humanity, justice, and dignity, ICE CANNOT be a part of it. 🧵
