- New sweater. Christmas Belle by Isabell Kramer. Yarn is Fjallalopi in Currant and Summer Yellow. The pattern is an A+. The yarn? Not so much. The roughness did not make for an enjoyable knitting experience. Would not use it again. But it's done and I will wear the hell out of it. 😀 #knitting 🧶
- Knitting with this Istex Lopi yarn is ..... not a good experience. The colors are lovely and that's all I can say that is positive. It's like knitting with twine that sheds everywhere. The guard hairs make it stick on the needles akin to mohair. AND I'm using it for a fingering weight sweater. 🙃
- Made split pea soup tonight and thought I would try the Onion and Poppy Seed Star Bread from King Arthur's Big Book of Bread. Highly recommend the recipe. The bread is fantastic. #baking #food #cooking

- Working on a pair of Halloween socks. Going to try Ysolda's deep shadow wrap heel to see if I can finally get a good fit with a short row heel. 🤞🏼🧶🧦 #knitting

- Feel free! If this helps: Cast on 66sts. 2x1 rib. Knit one base row before starting body rib. Body rib is 5x1. (Insert favorite heel across 33 stitches). Knit foot to length. Decrease toe until 28 stitches (14/14). Kitchener toe.

- I was able to save a handful of caterpillars on my dill plants from the predators and my first black swallowtail eclosed this morning. ♥️ #butterfly
- Thursday the well pump died and cost $$$ to replace. Today (Saturday) the AC compressor isn't working which will also cost $$$ to fix/replace. Can't wait to see what happens Sunday. 🙄 I'll just keep knitting ....
