- Cars, trains, and ducks all traveling in parallel - only in the Meadowlands.
- Looking for stellar student podcast examples? I put together 4 strong sources, from @npr.org to Denver Public Schools, that showcase student voice in action. #StudentPodcasting #EdTech www.timbelmont.com/where-to-fin...
- The winners of this year's @nytimes.com student podcast contest have been revealed! Topics range from sea monsters to beauty products. Including the runners-up, there are 22 shows to check out - essential summer listening, I'd say. #edtech #studentpodcasting #edusky www.nytimes.com/2025/06/26/l...
- Gearing up for some summer reading! I'm excited to see the ideas of @tishaponcio.bsky.social and @rickbutterworth.com to prep our kids for the future. #EduSky
- This was a great grocery-store-listen to kick off the weekend. Great advice and ideas for wrapping up the year and intentionally head into the summer. #EduSky
- We had a stellar robotics workshop at the Liberty Science Center last week programming 3D printed eyes using Arduinos. #EduSky
- I became an afternoon nap spot for a honey bee while hanging out on the deck earlier. Pollinators rock.

- Google Looker Studio is pretty rad.
- When it comes to podcasts, I can't recommend Lateral with @tomscott.com enough. On the show, Tom and three guests explore a range of lateral thinking puzzles. It is a breath of fresh air, with entertainment and the perfect amount of interesting trivia. open.spotify.com/show/1TthQOE...
- A consideration when selecting an edu-centric AI tool: does it look like the company is advancing with educators' and students' best interests in mind, or is their goal just to stay ahead of the corporate competition? #EduSky

- A Walter update on 35mm film.
- Most of the creative joy in my life has come from process, not product. When using AI with students, it's easy to shift all emphasis on the product. Remember that the process is the good stuff - as long as the time is afforded. #EduSky

- So many education-centric AI tools primarily function to save teachers time, which I get. Teachers are pressed for time. I worry that these tools will become pretext for not granting educators the extra resources (such as time) that they've needed for a long time. Is it a fair trade-off? #EduSky

- Man, the Revision History extension sure dropped the ball. The Chrome Extension review comments tell the story - jumping from a free to freemium model with no transition or rollout for users once again builds distrust between teachers and the tech tools they rely on. #EduSky

- My biggest takeaway from this great conversation is that regardless of your district’s AI vision, consistent and ongoing training is essential. This is where instructional and technology coaches play a crucial role. @caeddleman.bsky.social @sturmdon.bsky.social @thebrokencopier.bsky.social #EduSky

- Next up on my queue.... this is a great pod in its own right and I am excited to dip into an episode that will undoubtedly hit close to home.
- It's tough to ask students to put extra effort into creating quality products when the most viewed and "influential" clips on social media are regularly barely decipherable phone camera videos of a computer screen playing an Instagram reel that was screen captured from a YouTube video. #EduSky

- Rest is productive.
- When you post a video of yourself explaining a concept on Google Classroom and all of your students open it in class at the same time and your room fills with a horrifying chorus of your own recorded voice... 😱 #EduSky
- Teaching can feel like scaling a mountain with the peak obscured, unsure of whether any destination will be met or if any effect will be felt. But when students make connections to knowledge and people make connections to one another, it sure is solid motivation to keep moving. #EduSky

- We had an excellent chat about finding reliable sources online in class today. Multiple students thought that .org and .net domains indicate reliable information - now they know how all it takes for a .org is ten bucks! #EduSky
- Said bye bye to X/Twitter this week. I've been meaning to clear my headspace and it's a start. It's odd since I made so many connections there, but it's a tradeoff for some mental clarity. It can be tough to define your values with that constant barrage of takes.
