I'm calling it 'release.' A reminder that even in the darkest phases, there's light on the horizon. Messy Code: tinyurl.com/dy7zc2mz
- Reposted by TanIn the wake of FBref's defacto death, I saw a lot of posts suggesting alternate data sources. Unfortunately, many of them focus exclusively on men's soccer. To measure what options remain for woso, I conducted a survey of the most popular FBref alternatives. What I found is disappointing: 🧵

- Randomly decided that it's time for Tantastic Food Takes - here's a thread of the top things I ate in London on my recent trip (featuring Donia, Gymkhana, Dishoom, Quality Chop House, Regency Cafe, and Singburi)
- Lechon with liver peppercorn sauce, Chicken Inasal with lemongrass/tom yum sauce from Donia, a modern Filipino restaurant (9.7 on my personal Beli score)
- Butter chicken and prawn curry from Gymkhana (9.5) with the teamworks soccer squad. Shut down that inner hipster voice that says the butter chicken is for mainstream noobs, this one is insanely good. Tasting menu is a little overkill though, just get a few dishes :)
