- A little Query update! I am still catching up on my query inbox (have reviewed through 10/11/24), but I am planning to open from March 1st-March 7th and will continue trying out opening just for the first week of every month. We’ll see how it goes. Will do a little #MSWL.
- At the top of my wishlist is book about trans kids by trans authors #MSWLFeb 27, 2025 18:17
- Across the board, I'd like to see more funny books, but especially in picture book and middle grade. #MSWL
- I am looking for escapist, high concept projects. It needs to have a really strong hook to differentiate itself in today's crowded market. #MSWL
- I'd like to see more standalone fantasy. Not standalone with series potential. A true standalone. #MSWL
- Along the same lines, I think with tariffs on China where most books are printed, it will be more costly for publishers to invest in long projects. I'd love to see shorter SFF (under 100K words). #MSWL
- I'm always on the hunt for deeply romantic stories with a focus on a continuously building chemistry. #MSWL
- Lastly, I'd love to see books featuring characters with celiac disease (which I have)--especially in the rom-com space. How does one navigate kissing on a first date when your partner has had gluten? This also goes for other autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses. #MSWL
