Summer Stinson
Former Fed worker for nearly 12 years: 9th Cir & SSA. Seattle since 2006. Bend hometown. Economic Justice Advocate. Labor/Employment Lawyer. Urbanist. Optimist. Democratic Socialist. Witch. Mom to teen, black lab, and many plants.
- Fourth night in a row when I watched episode 5 and fell asleep to the kiss and “I’m coming to the cottage.”
- A couple of Seattle inauguration fit pics. Three days celebrating four amazing women!
- Thrifting is the best! This outfit (including shoes, vest, hat) was thrifted—mostly from a thrift shop 10 blocks from me. I’m not going to buy new (other than intimates) for the next 3 months. Hit me up if you want to go thrifting shopping together!
- My pup and I wearing matching thrifted sweaters. Bring on 2026!
- Do not put “how often to wash a hairbrush” into Reddit or any online search. I told you not to do it.

- My favorite new year’s news? Learning that two brilliant besties scored amazing jobs after long searches!

- Ready for 2026!
- I started off as a theatre kid. And now, apparently, I’m a radical left scum. I’m a socialist who loves our environment, learns from history, and honors community. Call me what you will. It’s about the values and not labels.
- Reposted by Summer StinsonPeople who want to get morally superior about how they hand-wash everything really gotta reckon with the fact that machine dish-washing uses considerably LESS water and emits considerably fewer greenhouse emissions than standard handwashing practices do. (And you save a lot of time...)

- Reposted by Summer StinsonSex cardigans: can the Wicked sequel make bulky knits strangely alluring?
- Oh look, I bought the Elphaba sex cardigan for $32 two months ago.
- In honor of the viral J.Crew 1988 roll necks, I’ll share a 1988 story. When I was a junior in high school, I went to Apple computer camp at Stanford. Please appreciate the group project we did on an Apple and dot matrix computer.

- Fit check to walk my pup in my thrifted outfit: coat, scarf, sweater, and bag are all second hand! Jewelry from small makers in Edmonds and NYC.

- I’m a champagne and cashmere socialist. My champagne is Kirkland from Costco and my cashmere is second-hand that I thrifted and mended.
- I’ve taken up a new cozy hobby for the big dark. I’ve been on the hunt for second (or third/fourth) hand clothing I can rehab. I seek out projects; I love mending and rehabbing. My favorite is fancy cashmere that’s dirty and has holes. I give it a glow up! I worked on these pieces yesterday!

- I’m biting my tongue so hard when I see some of the huge congrats posts for Mayor-elect Katie Wilson from certain parties who may have finally dual endorsed when it was clear Katie’s vision was compelling.

- Speaking of cities with a progressive mayor-elect, busses (in my pics), parks and 3rd spaces, and affordable pizza, and yummy bagels, I can’t help but think of @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social! Her partner is making a dozen bagels 🥯 because I won a trivia game. So excited for Mayor Wilson and my bagels
- Last meal in NYC in a pocket park all dressed up for the holidays! This little joined me.
- Reposted by Summer StinsonNEW: ProPublica examined months of Fox News’ coverage and reviewed over 700 videos posted on social media. The network used five-year-old footage, mislabeled other dates and implied footage from elsewhere was in Portland.

- Reposted by Summer StinsonCongratulations to Mayor-Elect Katie Wilson! @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social I’m looking forward to working together in building a city that is affordable, safe, and thriving for working families!
- Love that NYC took a lane of parking and a lane of car traffic and turned them into pedestrian and bike lanes. Maybe Seattle’s next mayor could do something similar?
- So nice of Seattle to hold off on the Mayor Katie Wilson victory party until I’m back in town. KIDDING! Of course, I wish she rocked election night but over $2 million in a corporate PAC threw a wrench in that plan.
- BlueSky knows me so well. @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social trending as my top interest. 💘
- Haven’t heard of? lol! I’m a member. Go @workingfamilies.org!
- Katie Wilson! Seattle! Yayayyayayyay! Powering down to watch Heathers Off Broadway.

- My face on Friday when eating NYC pizza and hearing about @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social’s fully expected giant jump as votes get counted! Let’s go, Seattle!
- NYC and Broadway are alive and well. Thank you for feeding my soul.

- The day Democracy died? Nope. The day the Democrats died? Nope. Both those days are in our rearview mirror but damn, this is a nail in the coffin.
- As a woman, I wouldn’t mind ruining the capitalistic workplace. But to each her own.
- Had my first whiskey sour tonight in an awesome whiskey bar in NYC. I even did shots of good whiskey. I’m not home eating Cherry Garcia in bed. I feel like I’m re-living my 20s but with a little more financial security and style.
- At Chess on Broadway tonight, I sat between a manspreader and a Connecticut Republican at the show, and I still had the best time ever. Truly a wonderful musical with such an amazing cast and orchestra!
- Out after a Broadway show and Neil Patrick Harris was leaving and I was going into the bar.

- Just call me Samara now! I will answer to Samara for a New York everything bagel with scallion cream cheese.
- Hostile architecture and seating. As seen at the Apple Store next to Central Park.
- It’s hard to see the sky in Manhattan.
- Bliss. I lived 4 blocks from this spot for 4 years a very long time ago. Thank goodness for rent stabilization, public transit, and great hole-in-the-wall eateries. #manhattan #centralpark #bagels #NYC
