- emily nagoski's work especially makes me feel like society (and the DSM) puts way too much emphasis on partners having spontaneous sexual desire and not enough emphasis on partners cultivating shared experiences of pleasure (whether that includes sex or not)
- as i learn more about the concept of responsive sexual desire, i'm increasingly of the opinion that the way sexual desire is described in the DSM is based 100% on how neurotypical straight cis man college students tend to experience it aces & ace-affirming sex researchers are the coalition we need
