i do honestly really like the trolley guys' appearance in DT i found the wol reacting to them REALLY effective as a "something very bad is about to happen here" flag
and it's a case where i think it fits their narrative purpose that they made them look identical because the point is to have that immediate recognition, it's not a Twist that they're the shards of the trolley guys and it's not something they'd want to waste time to build up, it's just self-evident
