- Unused Spawn: The Movie Cape (1996) KNB EFX created a practical cape as a proof of concept for Spawn's film director, Mark A.Z. Dippé. The director decided to use CGI rather than a practical cape because he wanted Spawn's symbiote cape to feel alive and moving like in the comics. #Spawn
