- I wasn't a Kanye fan before and won't be in future but hearing about him explaining what was going on with him in terms of his protracted mental health crisis, I'm glad that he is in a place to at least see that from the outside now.
- I think it was always pretty obvious he was severely unwell. When he talks about seeking out the swastika as the most divisive and hateful symbol to reflect an internal inability to reconcile the pressures on him, like, I think I've speculated almost identical reasons for his nazi arc before
- I think that "forgiving" artists & public figures especially in an age where people's lives are taken as a de facto part of their artwork is a bit of a shallow and often harmful topic, but I think it was a good thing for him to do to point at that behaviour and say what was clear: he was very unwell

- I think that public discourse is so deeply unkind and reactionary and people broadly are actively misinformed about mental health and mental illness by society all the time and the result is that we all shrug off a duty toward empathy and understanding that reflects our principles better
