- Being a scholar of intertextuality is especially challenging when I show my mom what I think is a cool intertextual reference in the art/film world, and she responds “it’s a rip off! No originality!”

I am going to continue to explain to students why it is harmful. Absolutely absurd to allow this anti-intellectual, environmentally devastating technology into the university at all.

- so interesting looking thru physical copies of other academic books as I'm starting to write another one, just to see how people do it so differently. Some have really short chapters, some justify all their shortcomings right away, some books on singing in talk have music notation, others don't
